IAW the Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR) USTRANSCOM requires each military unit, that may deploy by military airlift, to have access to an Airlift Subject Matter Expert (SME). This relationship between the unit and the Airlift SME is referred to “Affiliation”. The Affiliation Program can provide units with Staff visits, Mission Planning Validation, Exercise Quality Assessments, AMC Affiliation Training, and assistance during actual unit airlift deployments. The heart of the Affiliation Program is the classroom instruction (Equipment Preparation Course and the Airlift Load Planning Course). Our cadre and instructors assist and teach Army and Air National Guard units across the country.
